History: This guitar was custom built for Pete Fine by LoBue. Pete had this guitar customized by Lobue to include not only the typical phase and coil but an electro harmonix muff that tucked into the guitar with a slider for control.
The guitar was in the condition shown here when purchased.
The guitar still played nicely. It has since been restored to stock and enhanced by Woody Phifer of Phifer Designs (who worked with Charles in the 70’s when this guitar was built).

Comments: Woody Phifer indicates that this guitar was one off. He indicated that Charles made this and the double cut mahogany with maple bout and that no one else touched them. He recalls when he was working there in the next room in the sanding shop when Charles was finishing this guitar. He covered the guitar with what he though was a clean rag. Little did he know that the rag contained evaporated solvent which killed the finish. He thought that Charles would fire him on the spot but Charles understood and just went about his work.
