Mahogany Doublecut with Maple Bout

History: This guitar was hanging in a music store in New York for a number of years. I had been in the store owners private collection and was obviously well taken care of. The next owner had it for a few years and then sold it to the current owner. To our knowledge it is a 3 owner guitar.

Specs:

Neck: One piece mahogany neck with adjustable truss rod.
Head Overlay: Birdseye Maple
Nut: Brass
Fingerboard: 22 fret Ebony with small mother of pearl dot markers
Tuners: Sperzel (gold)
Bridge:
Tailpiece: Gibson (gold)
Pickups: Original DiMarzio Winds
Special Electronics: Coil Tap and Phase
Comments: Woody Phifer indicates that this guitar was one off. He indicated that Charles made this and the double cut maple cap alone and that no one else touched them. He incdicated that Charles got in a new tool to make the routs in the back and that he so admired his work that he used a clear plex cover to expose the electronics.
