A native Marylander, Mark played piano, guitar and sang throughout high school and earned his Music Education Degree from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. While in Boston, Mark played guitar and sang with the rock group the Telephones and later with the Puppet Rulers. Mark has performed on many rock stages throughout the New England area and has extensive performing, composing, arranging and recording experience.
In 1988, Mark was hired as a vocal general music teacher for Montgomery County Public Schools and has been teaching music throughout the area. Mark has also directed show choirs, drama productions and presently teaches musical theater classes at the City of Gaithersburg's Arts Barn. Mark loves music and kids! He is incredibly talented at directing students in a band format and enjoys molding Victor Litz SOAR kids into awesome performing groups! SOAR kids ROCK!
